Tools and things
I do my ebook reading on a Boox Onyx 7. It’s an Android device. You could stick to their book management ecosystem, but I prefer to have a subscription to Bookfusion, which hosts your epubs in the cloud and has Android, iOS, and iPadOS clients.
My daily driver camera is an OM System OM-3. It’s a Micro Four Thirds camera with a lot of in-camera creative control and a small footprint wrapped in a vintage body everyone mistakes for a film camera. I keep my pictures on pix.puddingtime.org. Here are some recent OM-based galleries from a trip to France and a trip to San Francisco. I used to be a pretty big Fujifilm enthusiast, and still admire their cameras, but the OM-3 hits a sweet spot for me in terms of in-camera control and small size. It was super easy to walk around France with a fixed lens on the body most of the time and a small, useful zoom in my sling.
My second camera is a Fujifilm X-Half. I grab it when I’m going somewhere I’ve already shot a lot and I’m after a fresh perspective, or for weekend trips where I just want to grab snapshots.
